If it worked for Palacký...

"Palacký (19th century Czech historiantriumphed at a competition advertised in 1826 by the Royal Bohemian Society, inviting contestants to critically evaluate the attainments of Bohemian historians since ancient times. Although Palacký turned out to be the sole participant, this should not diminish the significance of the occasion."
